九歲的安娜和家人居住在柏林，1933年到來，一切都開始發生了變化，在她四周，一個陌生人的畫像開始掛滿在大街小巷，懵懂的安娜不知道發生了什麽。不久之後，她和她的家人踏上了一場逃亡之路，安娜在旅途中充滿了好奇和困惑，而她也無法忘記陪伴自己童年的那隻粉色玩具兔，可惜兔子早已被落在了柏林的家中，逐漸被黑暗所包圍。
