本劇根據亞瑟王與魔法師梅林的故事改編，由BBC威爾士電視台與Shine影視公司共同出品。
在梅林（科林·摩根 Colin Morgan 飾）成為了降龍者的一年後，烏瑟派遣亞瑟率領軍隊搜尋莫根娜的下落，而把莫根娜帶回了卡美洛王國。而此時的莫根娜已不再是從前的莫根娜了，她如今已是安插在卡美洛王國內的奸細，企圖削弱卡美洛王國的核心勢力及殺死烏瑟。莫根娜邪惡的計劃屢次被梅林阻止，而在無形中成為了梅林的對手。再一次偶然的事故中得知了她其實是烏瑟的親生女兒，有權推翻烏瑟及亞瑟來繼承卡美洛王國的王位，在姐姐莫高斯的幫助下，莫根娜利用各種手段企圖陷害亞瑟等人，而亞瑟的未來以及王國的未來將陷入水深火熱之中……
